LMFAO, Ludacris, Scheduled at UCF Arena During Homecoming
Music, News, Night Life, UCF SGA — By Kevin Wolkenfeld on July 27, 2010 at 12:38 pmKnown for their hit song about pounding shot after shot, music group LMFAO is scheduled to perform at the UCF Arena during UCF Homecoming week. Rapper Ludacris is also slated to appear with LMFAO, according to LMFAO’s Myspace page.
UCF’s Homecoming committee hasn’t released any details about Homecoming to KnightNews.com, so it is not yet confirmed the artists’ performances are linked officially to Homecoming, however, during last year’s festivities, the big name artists playing at the arena during Homecoming week, T-Pain and Asher Roth, were made part of the official Homecoming celebrations.
KnightNews.com reported last year how T-Pain and Roth partied with students at local bars, buying expensive bottles to drink with the students and then walking out on their tabs. At the time, we reported how T-Pain was quite generous with alcohol, and spent some time pouring bottles of it into the mouths of all the ladies who could manage to fight their way through the crowd.
LMFAO and Ludacris are scheduled to perform from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 16.
Read our story from last year and see more pictures of T-Pain and Roth partying at Scoop. If the Homecoming committee releases more details, KnightNews.com will pass them along to you.

George Michael looks as though he night go down (lol!) because of driving around stoned. Hey, is this a threat or a promise? It’d be like shutting in most men with a harem! Lol!
you guys forgot about the best performance of the knight…. luke bryan was wayyy better than tpain and asher roth! hopefully the homecoming committee gets a good country artist again this year
You are proving how out of touch you are.
Look how many facebook likes this story has. (79)
The Sentinel barely gets that many likes on stories. If people were disappointed, they wouldn’t like it. Maybe if you douches would let others into your world of warcraft circle in the student union, you’d realize people want information NOW. They don’t want to be kept in the dark.
Don’t forget about the TAYLE-GAYTING in the GAY-RAJ!
Actually Seeff wanted to bring downtown to UCF and involve more Orlando residents in UCF events…
whether it is true or its not, it has always been a tradition to keep it a surprise till the fall. People look forward to being surprised….Knightnews (as well as the person who gave them the tip) ruined that for the whole UCF community.
Thanks Knightnews, your truly are an embarrassment to this university.
And Wolkenfeld is still bitter about losing (him and seef wanted the parade to be downtown).
You probably didn’t realize this because it was reported in the Future but the surprise was already ruined. The Future reported the theme on the same day some sort of expensive ad ran covering part of the front page about homecoming. Seems like a waste to run such an expensive ad in the summer when no one is reading that paper, but the bottom line is the surprise was ruined anyway.
At least now this is something worth hearing about.
Femia you posted this on Knight news “And IF Knightnews’ story is true” Yet on the wall you posted “way to ruin the surprise.” It seems as though you do know the whole story about homecoming… So why hide it?
@wait. Ruin a surprise? i think you are just mad that knightnews found out about it before you did. Im getting to think you are a reporter from the future…..
We all know the acts stated above are coming. You guys in SGA or HC exec should be proud, Stop bashing Knightknews and bask in the glory that they have given you for booking such artists.
Listening to students.
You are right we should listen to students more. Unfortunately only SO MANY students participate in our efforts for feedback. Its just the nature of surveying. I could offer you the documents and numbers of our most recent polls about genres of music for the Homecoming Concert Knight if you’d like, but that take you saying who you are.
IDK if you can remember this far back, but for years you would see a constant trend of “rock bands” like Panic at the Disco and others similar to this genre year after year.
Based on surveys, students wanted diversity they wanted more genres, new artists, different shows… they wanted what we gave them last year. (T Pain, Asher, Luke Bryan)
And IF Knightnews’ story is true, well it looks like students are being heard yet again.
Why don’t you take your own advice?
I think “eh” is a puss for not telling us who he is, lets get real.
Sureeeee…. whatever you say.
Judging by the amount of us who “liked” this story…it seems a lot of us were just fine and happy to find out now.
Maybe if you would listen to what students want, you would know that.
Hey there “eh”
Going around telling all my friends? Interesting. I was on Homecoming Exec last year and anyone that knows me knows that I want Homecoming to be the biggest surprise at UCF! I barely even told people on the exec board last year about some of my new changes and additions to Skit Knight because I wanted them to enjoy the show and be surprised too.
Homecoming has always been a week full of the best programmed events in our schools history and ruining that aspect of surprise is not in my agenda. I chose not to do Homecoming this year because I was too busy with other things which also meant I’d be left out on receiving the “privileged” information. I was ok with that. I trust the new Director, HC Advisor and the rest of the board to spend their money, my money, and your money in the best interest of the student body.
Therefore, thanks for the shout out, BUT I have nothing to do with KnightNews “doing what they do.” (AKA the KN way).
PS I’m pretty stoked for the new Underwater Homecoming theme too!
It’s not really a surprise. Femia was going around telling all his friends for a while now. It was really a case of only the privileged few get to know, while everyone else gets kept in the dark. (AKA the UCF way).
That’s why I gave KN the tip.
LET THE SUNSHINE IN….!
Wait…(correct me if I’m wrong)…I’m a junior this year and in the past everything about homecoming been secret so that they could make a surprise announcement to us (I think this was done at the beginning of school last year)…sooo Knight-News way to jump the gun and ruin that…but it sounds like it’s gonna be a fun show!
your forgetting that the students who are not here seek information from Knightnews or Florida Future so they can know whats going on around campus. Especially when they are not here. I think your suggesting to hold off all news information until students get back? Wow thats brilliant. Because thats what news is right? talk about something that happend months ago.
ya the artists are cool but maybe they didnt say it cuz it was during summer and they want everyone to know in the fall when most students are back??
I would like to know why DJ/rappers Redfoo (Stefan Gordy) and Sky Blu (Skyler Gordy) would say they are coming to ucf before the event was finalized? they wouldnt. Homecoming exec should be happy that they booked such great artists. The exec should have told the students as soon as they were booked. that way students can have something to look forward to before fall starts. Good job Knightnews and good Job Exec.
Dear Readers,
On our way to lunch we got a call from a person identifying herself as the adviser to homecoming. During the call, that adviser confirmed homecoming was working to get the acts we reported to be coming as official parts of homecoming, however, she admitted the paperwork had not been finalized.
She asked us to remove the story, however, because the artist himself is promoting this event on his myspace page, we made the editorial decision to continue informing you where your tuition money is being spent.
KnightNews Readers,
Please understand that this article is only speculation. The Homecoming Executive Board has not received any contracts from any artists being considered for Concert Knight and therefore, as it stands, we are still in the planning stage.
