Halloween isn’t until Sunday this year, but that’s not stopping two UCF fraternities from hosting what they’re promoting as huge Halloween parties tonight — and at least one of the UCF frats is helping out charity in the process.

If you’ve been on Facebook lately, you may have heard about Phi Delt’s Knightmare in The Ghetto party starting at 11 p.m. tonight next to their fraternity house in the neighborhood behind the Sterling Apartments. According to the event Facebook page, ladies get in free. Guys will have to pay, although the Facebook page doesn’t say how much. The Phi Delt party starts around 11 p.m.

Tau Kappa Epslion is starting things off a little earlier — at 9 p.m. tonight. According to an email from TKE, the fraternity is “having a huge house party but all cover charges are going to St. Judes Cancer Research Hospitals.” The cover is $5 for guys and girls will have a “recommended donation of $2.” The TKE party will be at 2912 Blue Whistler Lane, Orlando.

Both parties are costume themed, of course. If you want to show off your costume, email us a picture at news@knightnews.com, and we will post the best ones.

  1. Look at the posters made for the event…. They say “St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospitals”… KnightNews called it the other… Pay attention before you run your mouth

  2. Ok… um first, leaving a comment under a false name or impersonating a sorority not only is disrespectful to that sorority but also makes us look bad, so DO NOT leave comments if your not representing yourself. I dont know who left it but… sorry dont let a dumb action hurt what was great party for a good cause.

Second, we hosted this party because we like to party! We are trying to have a good time and want people who hang out with us to have the same good time. So there will be more to come, and most/all of our registered parties will be going to charity from now on.

Third, It was a GREAT party. Best ive been to in my college experience. The final official count was $1700 dollars donated to charity. Not bad for one night of fun.

  3. Stop trying to associate yourselves with Tri Delta. We did Triple Play with you last year because we both have the same philanthropy, not because we like you. And by the way, it’s St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, not “St. Judes Cancer Research Hospitals.” Way to brag about raising money for an organization you don’t even know the name of.

  4. They day a tri delt actually thinks TKEs are hotter than phi delts is the day president hitt returns his bonus to ucf so students can go to school for free.

there is a better chance of hell freezing over first.

  5. Actually, Phi Delt raised a few hundred dollars for ALS at each of their parties they’ve had this semester. It’s good that both fraternities are giving back while trying to have a good time. Try and collect some information next time before you assume something.

  6. TKE did it right. Invite the police so they don’t feel mad they weren’t invited and ruin your party! AND they raised money for charity, can’t hate on that! They were set for success from the beginning. Notice the article doesn’t say that TWO fraternities were raising money for charity, it says “at least one”. Just saying….

  7. Phi Delts party was shut down in 30 minutes. TKE had over 800 people partying until 5 a.m. and the rumors are they raised over 1000 for St Jude.
