Vice President Taylor Lochrane announced that Academic Affairs Coordinator, Nelsi Mora, will be appointed as the next Vice President of SGA by President Mike Kilbride.

The Senate will need to confirm her by a two-thirds vote before she can officially take office.

KnightNews.com’s team of reporters has been looking into Mora’s history at UCF. We learned Mora was nominated by the Interdisciplinary Studies Office and selected for the Founder’s Day Award by the Office of the Vice Provost.

She has also served as the Familial Relations and Volunteer Chair for the Dance Marathon at UCF, a student organization philanthropy benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network and as a Student Orientation Coordinator. Kilbride has also worked closely with those organizations in his past.

As we previously reported, Lochrane announced he’s resigning to accept a job at the DOT.

KnightNews.com will continue to follow this major breaking news and post new updates and reaction as it comes in.
