With the busy Christmas season just around the corner, jobs—either seasonal or part-time—are currently being hired for, at places from theme parks to retail and technological companies.

The SeaWorld theme park is actually hiring hundreds of seasonal workers through Thursday. Those wishing to work here, whether it be as a food service employee, park operations host or photographer, should apply online and then attend the job fair being held Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SeaWorld Orlando’s human resources building at 6283 Sea Harbor Drive. Applicants only must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Additionally, both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando resorts are usually offering part-time Attractions positions, meaning one would assist in running rides, and the like. Please see here for the current online application for Universal’s attractions and here for that of Disney’s (both are seeking hourly positions to be filled—check the boxes of “part-time” and “Walt Disney World Resort” to find those jobs on Disney’s site).

Mall at Millenia is also hiring at places like J. Crew and Victoria’s Secret for seasonal sales associates. One should check the stores’ individual sites for more details on the job listings, which were found here.

Furthermore, at the Florida Mall, Nordstrom holds retail sales opportunities, and Godiva Chocolatier is seeking out a sales associate. For the former, one must apply online here, and for the latter, one should apply in-person.

For the techy-minded, the Best Buy located near Colonial Drive in Orlando has an open Sales Support Associate position one may apply for here. It also wouldn’t hurt to give the Apple store a call—one can apply online with their Apple ID (associated with iTunes accounts, and such).

Given the current unfortunate state of the economy, many may have given up the hunt for a job long ago. But don’t give up hope—jobs are available to the perseverant, dedicated people (especially educated, goal-oriented college students) eager to work well and promisingly!
