A picture of a UCFPD squad car with a pornographic image on the laptop inside spread throughout social media this past weekend at UCF.

After UCFPD became aware of the picture they conducted an investigation using computer forensics to determine whether the picture was real or fake. The forensics team later concluded that the image was fake and was created using a computer imaging software.

“The image was an offensive attack on our reputation. Our officers work tirelessly to maintain a safe and secure campus for students, faculty, staff members, and visitors,” said UCF Police.

The UCF Police even gave a shoutout to the twitter user who originally posted the photo on his timeline and said, “To @SippingDonJulio, who posted the photo, thanks for the new followers, we guess.”

Julio Jones went on to say, “Want to say I’m proud of @UCFPolice for its investigations on a accusation that fortunately turned out to be a false recreated image.”

UCFPD is offering a ride along to the twitter user as well as anyone who wants to get a first look at how UCF Police is saving lives. Anyone interested in doing so should call 407-823-5555 to coordinate.
