Next SGA Vice President Announced Tonight, Pending Senate Confirmation
News, UCF SGA — By Kevin Wolkenfeld on February 10, 2011 at 7:35 pmVice President Taylor Lochrane announced that Academic Affairs Coordinator, Nelsi Mora, will be appointed as the next Vice President of SGA by President Mike Kilbride.
The Senate will need to confirm her by a two-thirds vote before she can officially take office.
KnightNews.com’s team of reporters has been looking into Mora’s history at UCF. We learned Mora was nominated by the Interdisciplinary Studies Office and selected for the Founder’s Day Award by the Office of the Vice Provost.
She has also served as the Familial Relations and Volunteer Chair for the Dance Marathon at UCF, a student organization philanthropy benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network and as a Student Orientation Coordinator. Kilbride has also worked closely with those organizations in his past.
As we previously reported, Lochrane announced he’s resigning to accept a job at the DOT.

Is this girl worth confirming? I’ve never heard of her before, but it seems she has done a lot but has she done anything in sga? Come on, the Academic Affairs Coordinator? reallY?! Thats who you guys want to represent us? senate please send a message.

He was actually a guest judge for an event. Part of the job of being the president is supporting student run events. I wouldnt want to be at that circus act called senate.
Why the hell isn’t Kilbride ever at Senate to update us on what HE is doing? Why are we paying him $20 grand a year if he can’t if show up at senate? Is he that scared to face questions on knightmare?
She is soooooooooooooooo unqualified. There are no words for just how unqualified she is. This girl on ASF? hahaha she makes Gilson look like Socrates.
Worked closely with Kilbride in the past, eh? No wonder he is appointing such a low profile person. Is she a pawn?
